UOB Lady's Card is one of several credit cards in Singapore designed for ladies. The look and feel of the card may hint at an older audience, but the benefits you get with this card will appeal to most women in Singapore. Perks like a flexible instalment payment plan and rewards for shopping an taxi rides will appeal to young and old alike.
But if you were to remove the word "Lady" from the title and swop the card art for something more generic, would the benefits you get stand on their own? We at GET.com are going to look at the fine print behind the facade to help you decide if UOB Lady's Card is the must-have card for women.

Things We Like About UOB Lady's Card
You get an interest free instalment plan. This card makes it easy for you to buy the things you probably love (think shoes, bags, jewellery)! With the UOB Lady's LuxePay instalment programme on this card, you can convert your shoes and bag purchases worth $500 or more into a 6- or 12-month instalment plan, and there's no interest charge! You can shop anywhere in Singapore, overseas or online and still enjoy this perk!
But there is a catch. To enjoy this benefit, you need to make sure the purchase of $500 or more is in a single transaction, which means you have to buy $500 of shoes and bags at the same time, at one store. Also keep in mind that the value of shoes and bags you buy cannot exceed your credit limit. To apply for UOB Lady's LuxePay instalment programme, you just need to fill out a form online or send an SMS to the bank.
You get privileges at Raffles Medical Group. You will enjoy these privileges at Raffles Medical Group:
- 10% off Raffles Enhanced Health Screening packages
- 10% off published room rates for inpatient admission

You earn 5X rewards points for overseas fashion shopping. When you travel overseas or make online transactions in foreign currencies, you can earn 5 points (UNI$) for every $5 you spend at fashion shops. Shopping in Paris or Tokyo rarely gets more rewarding than that. But there are spending requirements and a limit on the additional points you can earn. You need to spend at least $3000 for overseas or online transactions in foreign currencies in the same month. It's capped at $5000, which means the maximum amount of additional points you can earn is 1000 UNI$ in a month. You earn 1 UNI$ for every $5 spent in other categories.
It's easy to redeem your rewards. You can redeem these UNI$ for a broad range of things through UOB's comprehensive rewards programme, which is one of our 3 Best Credit Card Rewards Programmes In Singapore! There are shopping and dining vouchers, cash rebates and an option to convert your points to air miles.
You also earn instant cashback. You will get UOB's SMART$ rebates when you shop at participating retailers and shopping malls, including bYSI, Helen Accessories, EpiCentre, Cathay Cinemas, Singapore Zoological Gardens and at many other locations! This cashback adds up to more savings.
You get exclusive offers. With this card, you will enjoy many exclusive offers. Some of the popular ones include:
- Complimentary bottle of wine when you dine with your friends in Singapore, Hong Kong and China. Terms apply.
- e-Commerce protection provides coverage for your online purchases.
There are many more privileges and discounts you can get just by using this card to pay, mostly for food and drinks, so you can get a lot more relaxation and taste experiences for your money.
First-year annual fee waiver. You pay S$192.60 annual fee (waived 1 year). And the first supplementary card is free!
Complimentary UOB MasterPass digital wallet. Ok, this might not be a big deal because some of you may already have your own digital wallet on your computer and phones. But this is a complimentary service and you will find it easy to use if you shop online quite often. It's easy to set up and it securely stores your personal information and billing information. Every time you shop online, all you need to do when you check out is to click on the UOB MasterPass digital wallet. So you don't have to type all your information again!
Our Least Favourite Things About UOB Lady's Card
You have to spend $500 at 1 shop to use the instalment plan. Spending $500 on your yearly (or if you're lucky, monthly) shopping extravaganza is easy enough. But the instalment plan applies per purchase, so you will have to spend $500 in one shot to use the perk. Here again, spending $500 at one major department store, fashion shop or online fashion shop is not difficult, especially if you like expensive things.
The annual fee is not low. You do pay a S$192.60 annual fee (waived 1 year) to use this card, so it isn't worth getting unless you actually use the benefits. If you make the most of the complimentary drinks, special deals and privileges, rewards on shopping and taxi rides and free weekend parking (first 2 hours) at 4 major shopping malls, then you can actually save a lot more than what you pay for this card.

UOB Lady's Card rewards you for shopping at many different kinds of shops (department stores, fashion shops, online fashion websites) and offers solid money-saving privileges.
UOB Lady's Card is a very simple and clear card. The base benefits you get do not change constantly so you can easily estimate your savings. For example, the first 2 hours free weekend parking at 4 major shopping centres in Singapore can add up to a lot of savings if you visit those malls often. Parking at Paragon, for example, costs $2.58 for the first hour and $1.48 for every 30 minutes after that on Saturdays ($3.48 for the first 2 hours on Sunday). Plus, you also get exclusive privileges and deals that are updated regularly to keep you life interesting. So if the savings match your lifestyle, they can easily cover what you spend on the annual fee.
If you like shopping (and most of us do), you will enjoy the fact that the rewards you get are not limited to shopping online or at just one department store. You earn rewards at many different fashion stores, department stores and fashion websites. UOB claims that men don't get this card, but in our opinion the shopping and saving perks this card gives you will make many men jealous.
